DROP TABLE statement removes a table and all of its data from the database.
drop_table ::= DROP TABLE [ IF EXISTS ] table_name;
table_nameis an identifier (possibly qualified with a keyspace name).
- An error is raised if the specified
table_namedoes not exist unless
IF EXISTSoption is present.
- Associated objects to
table_namesuch as prepared statements will be eventually invalidated after the drop statement is completed.
